The Coorg region is part of the Western Ghats, one of the world’s eight biodiversity hotspots and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This mountain range, stretching along India’s western coast, significantly influences the climate of southern India and serves as the source of many important rivers.
On the farm, coffee trees grow under dense polycultural shade formed by a diverse mix of native and fruit trees, such as jamun, fig, mango, banana, orange, avocado, and rosewood. This system supports natural balance, protects the soil, and creates the ideal microclimate for coffee.
Thanks to this, Harangal is not only a coffee farm but also a living ecosystem.
